Pre-Flight AI Sandbox

Paste draft content into the Pre-Flight AI Sandbox and preview how an AI model would summarize, cite, or describe it before publishing, across six simulation scenarios, producing an AI Readiness Score for the draft.

What it does

Paste draft content — a blog post, product description, or page copy — into the sandbox before it's published, and CrawlPod runs it through six simulation scenarios that model how an AI system would treat that content: a brand query, a recommendation query, a summarization request, a citation test, a trust evaluation, and a competitive comparison query.

The results are combined into an AI Readiness Score for the draft, so the impact of edits can be checked before anything goes live.

Why it matters

Test before you publish — see what AI is likely to say about a piece of content while it's still editable, rather than discovering after publication that an AI model summarizes it inaccurately, doesn't treat it as citable, or fails to recommend it when a comparable competitor page would be recommended instead. Catching this at the draft stage is far cheaper than catching it after the fact.

How it works

  1. Open Pre-Flight AI Sandbox from the CrawlPod dashboard.
  2. Paste in the draft content you want to test.
  3. CrawlPod runs the draft through all six simulation scenarios.
  4. Review the AI Readiness Score and each scenario's result.
  5. Edit the draft and re-run the sandbox to see the impact of changes.

Key concepts

ScenarioWhat it tests
Brand queryHow an AI model responds when asked directly about your brand.
Recommendation queryWhether an AI model would recommend this content when asked for options in its category.
SummarizationHow an AI model would summarize the draft if asked to condense it.
Citation testWhether an AI model treats the draft as a citable source for a claim within it.
Trust evaluationHow an AI model assesses the credibility of the draft's claims.
Competitive comparison queryHow an AI model compares this draft's content against a competitor's when asked to choose between them.

Limitations & fair usage

Pre-Flight AI Sandbox is available on the Ultra plan. Simulations are a best-effort model of how an AI system is likely to treat content, not a guarantee of how every AI model will respond in practice — treat the AI Readiness Score as a strong directional signal, not a certainty.

  • Vector-Gap Analysis — identify content gaps first, then use the sandbox to test drafts that close them.
  • LLM A/B Testing — test how already-published content performs across different structural presentations.
  • See the Ultra plan for what else is included at this tier.
