CrawlPod

About

I'm Muhammad Faizan. I built the ai-visibility npm package and CrawlPod, the site around it, alone. It's early: one shipped open-source package, a free scanner, a live WordPress plugin, a Chrome extension pending store review, and a Shopify app still in development.

I started building ai-visibility because the gap between how websites are built and how AI crawlers actually read them kept showing up as the same handful of avoidable problems — crawlers blocked by accident, content that only exists after JavaScript runs, structured data that's missing or wrong. None of it requires exotic tooling to fix. It mostly requires knowing it's happening.

CrawlPod is the product built around that package: this site, the free scanner, and no-code versions of the same checks for WordPress, Chrome, and — still in development — Shopify, since most site owners aren't going to npm install anything.

Where things actually stand

  • ai-visibility — shipped, MIT-licensed, on npm and GitHub.
  • The scanner — shipped, free, no account required.
  • WordPress plugin — live and free on WordPress.org, with paid Pro/Business/Ultra tiers.
  • Chrome extension — submitted to the Chrome Web Store, pending review (submitted 2026-08-17).
  • Shopify app — in development, not yet available.
  • No customers yet. No case studies, no testimonials, nothing implying otherwise anywhere on this site — that's deliberate, not an oversight.

This site also runs on what it sells — see /built-with for exactly which package features it uses and its own live, honest score.
