Where the underlying approach differs

  • Open source vs. closed. ai-visibility, the package CrawlPod's tooling is built on, is MIT-licensed and public on GitHub. StoreSEO's implementation isn't open source — you can't inspect what it actually generates.
  • A developer-usable package, not just a hosted app. ai-visibility is npm install-able into any Node.js or Next.js project, including ones with no Shopify storefront at all. StoreSEO is Shopify-only by design.
  • Transparent, published scoring. CrawlPod's free scanner publishes its exact scoring weights on the results page. Whether StoreSEO's technical SEO audit scoring is similarly documented isn't something we've verified — check their listing directly.
