It includes AI citation and ranking tracking, which CrawlPod doesn't have yet. CrawlPod's Shopify app is still in development.

Where FSEO is ahead

  • It exists and ships today, with a free plan and paid tiers at $29/mo, $79/mo, and $299/mo (billed monthly; annual pricing is discounted — verified from the live listing, August 2026).
  • AI search visibility monitoring — rankings, citation tracking, and competitor tracking across AI engines. This is a real, current gap in CrawlPod: no citation tracking exists yet.
  • AI search query tracking and traffic analytics/visibility scoring, none of which CrawlPod currently offers.
  • agents.md support in addition to llms.txt — a related emerging convention CrawlPod doesn't generate.

Where the underlying approach differs

  • Review volume and consistency. 12 reviews is a small sample, and 17% are one-star — worth weighing alongside the 75% five-star figure rather than only citing the average. CrawlPod has no reviews yet, for the plainer reason that no product has shipped.
  • Open source vs. closed. ai-visibility is MIT-licensed and public; FSEO's implementation isn't.
  • A free, developer-usable package underneath. ai-visibility (npm install-able, no Shopify dependency) versus FSEO's Shopify-only, paid-tier-gated model — FSEO's free plan exists, but citation tracking and higher usage limits sit behind $29–$299/month.
  • Transparent scoring. CrawlPod's scanner publishes its scoring weights; we haven't verified whether FSEO's "visibility scoring" methodology is documented publicly.

Honestly: which should you use right now?

If AI-citation tracking on Shopify is the priority today, FSEO has it and CrawlPod doesn't. If you want a free, no-account way to check where a store or any page actually stands on crawler access, content readability, and structured data right now, the scanner does that regardless of which Shopify app you use.
